Everything contractors actually ask us.
Real questions from real contractors during real sales calls — answered the way we’d actually answer them in person. No marketing jargon. No “it depends.” Just plain English.
Pricing.
Real numbers, real ranges. We’re transparent about what things cost — if a quote feels weird, ask. We’ll explain it.
Most contractor engagements run between $3,500 and $9,500/month in retainer, plus your own ad spend on top. Where you land depends on niche, scope, and how much content production we’re doing. A pool builder doing the full owned-funnel build with two shoot days per month sits around $6,800. A roofer running just SEO and Google Business Profile sits closer to $3,500. Written proposal before you ever sign anything.
We have three starting frames — Foundation, Funnel, and Dominance — but the line items shift based on your niche and your starting point. Foundation is local SEO + Google Business Profile + a converting site refresh. Funnel adds owned-funnel paid ads and lead-gen infrastructure. Dominance adds full content production (drone, on-site shoots, social media management) and the deepest neighborhood-level SEO build. Most contractors start at Funnel.
$3,500/month minimum on retainer. 6-month initial term so we have time to actually build the infrastructure — owned funnels don’t compound in 30 days. After the initial 6 months, we move to month-to-month with a 30-day notice. No long-tail penalties, no auto-renewal traps. If we’re not earning the retainer, you walk.
Yes. Web design as a one-off project runs $8,500–$22,000 depending on page count, custom photography, and integrations. That said — most contractors who build a great new site without an SEO and lead-gen engine behind it end up frustrated 90 days later when nothing’s ranking. We’ll be honest about that on the call. More on web design here.
Timeline.
When you should expect first traction, first leads, and full ramp.
Paid ads can produce qualified inbound calls inside the first two weeks if the funnel is set up right. Local SEO and content take 90–180 days for first meaningful traction and 6–9 months to dominate North Atlanta neighborhood searches. Anyone promising “page one in 30 days” is either lying or planning to burn your money on ads while pretending it’s organic.
Onboarding kicks off within 7 days of signature. First shoot day usually lands in week 2–3, depending on weather and your project schedule. Site rebuilds and Google Business Profile work start in week 1. We don’t take on more contractors than our team can actually serve, so occasionally we’ll have a 2–4 week wait if all city-niche slots are full.
Discovery audit, positioning workshop, neighborhood-keyword map, content calendar approval, first shoot day, Google Business Profile overhaul, and the first batch of optimized service-area pages live on the site. By end of month 1 you can see the foundation. By end of month 3 the leads start showing up.
Depends on your average ticket. A pool builder closing one extra $90K project every two months has already broken even. A roofer closing 3 extra $14K residential jobs per month is breaking even by month 3. Most contractors are net-positive ROI by month 4 — and the compounding only accelerates from there.

Process.
How we communicate, who does the work, and what your day-to-day actually looks like.
A 30-minute strategy call every two weeks during the first 90 days. Monthly after that. Plus async — Slack, text, or email — whenever you want. Same-day response on anything inside business hours. No “your account manager is on PTO until next month” nonsense. If you message the team, someone on the team responds.
An in-house team of 4–6 specialists per account. Strategist, SEO lead, paid-media lead, content producer (the person on your shoot days), and a project manager. No outsourcing to overseas freelancers. No white-labeling. The person on your shoot day is the same person editing your reels — that continuity matters.
Live dashboard, updated daily. Calls, form submissions, ranking movements, ad spend, cost-per-lead, and revenue attribution in real time — not at end-of-month when it’s too late to course-correct. Built in Looker Studio, exportable, yours forever.
The first 30 days, yes — we want your fingerprints on everything so we lock voice and positioning correctly. After that, we publish on autopilot using a pre-approved style guide. You can always review or pull anything. Most of our clients are out of the approval loop by month 3 and just see the leads roll in.
1–2 hours a week in the first 90 days for kickoff calls and shoot days. Drops to 1–2 hours a month after that. We do the heavy lifting. You answer the leads. That’s the trade.
What’s included.
What we actually do for the retainer — and what’s separate.
It’s not “we run some Google Ads.” It’s a full owned-funnel build — Google Business Profile dominance, neighborhood-level SEO pages, conversion-tuned landing pages, Google LSAs and direct-to-form Meta ads going to your site (not a lead-platform middleman), call tracking, and reporting that ties back to revenue. Full breakdown here.
Yes. New service-area pages get added monthly. Photos refresh as we shoot new projects. Copy gets re-tuned every quarter based on what’s converting. A static site that gets built and frozen is one of the biggest mistakes contractors make — your site should be a living asset, not a brochure.
We write them in-house. Real writers who’ve spent time on construction sites and at hardscape supply yards — not a content mill cranking out generic AI copy. Every post gets fact-checked against the actual project, the actual neighborhood, and your actual pricing. See our 298 published examples.
It’s built into the Funnel and Dominance tiers. Foundation tier is SEO + GBP only. If you want photo and video shoots — and most contractors should, because content is what locks the local map pack and pre-sells consultations — that’s Funnel or Dominance. We don’t charge extra trip fees within the 11 cities we serve.
Yes — that’s our fourth service. Reels, posts, stories, content calendar, scheduling. Most contractors don’t need to be everywhere — Instagram and YouTube usually carry the freight. We’ll tell you on the discovery call which platforms actually move the needle for your niche. More here.

Industry fit.
Whether we’re the right partner for your niche, your city, and your competitive situation.
We go deep on six. Pool builders, landscapers and hardscape contractors, roofers, home remodelers, custom home builders, and personal injury attorneys. If you’re outside that list (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), we’ll be honest — we’re probably not the best fit, and we’ll point you to a niche-specific shop that is.
No. One client per niche per city, full stop. We will not run marketing for two pool builders in Alpharetta, two roofers in Marietta, or two PI firms in Roswell at the same time. That conflict-of-interest line is the entire reason we can promise category dominance. If a competitor calls us while you’re a client, the answer is no.
Eleven North Atlanta cities: Alpharetta, Roswell, Marietta, Johns Creek, Cumming, Kennesaw, Suwanee, Buford, Duluth, Smyrna, and Milton. Plus regional framing across “North Atlanta,” “Metro Atlanta,” “GA-400 corridor,” and “East Cobb.” If you’re outside this footprint, we typically refer you to a partner shop in your market.
It means we can’t take you on in the same niche-and-city. But — if they’re in Cumming and you’re in Roswell doing the same work, we can usually still work together because the markets don’t overlap. We’ll sort it out honestly on the discovery call. We’ve turned down more deals over conflict-of-interest than we’ve signed.
Probably not yet. Real talk — our pricing assumes you’re already running an established business with $400K+ in annual revenue. If you’re under $250K and just starting, you’ll get more value from a basic website, a real Google Business Profile, and 12 months of focused referrals before you hire an agency. We’re happy to give you a free playbook for that on the call.

Other.
Cancellation, asset ownership, contracts, the awkward stuff.
After the initial 6-month term, 30 days written notice, and we wind down cleanly. We hand over the website, the content, the ad accounts, the Google Business Profile, the dashboard, and any contracts. You walk out with the entire machine. No penalty, no clawback, no exit fee.
You do. Always. The website is on your hosting. The Google Ads and Meta accounts are in your name. The Google Business Profile is yours. The content we shoot is licensed to you in perpetuity. We don’t lock anything behind a white-label wall. If we ever part ways, the only thing missing is us.
Standard professional stack — Ahrefs and Semrush for SEO, CallRail for call tracking, Looker Studio for dashboards, WordPress + Elementor for sites (or whatever your existing CMS is), Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve for edit. Seats are in your name where it makes sense.
We’ll tell you. If demand in your market has dropped 30% year-over-year, we’ll say wait, save your money, revisit in 6 months. We’ve turned down pool builder engagements in 2023 when interest rates spiked. Not desperate enough to sign clients we can’t help.

If a question isn’t on this page, it’s because nobody’s asked it yet. The discovery call is where the real ones come out — and we’d rather answer the awkward ones honestly than leave them in your head after you sign.— Mike, Viral Spark founder
